Now I use it to keep up with the latest industry trends and even use it for web design & development. One such app that help me accomplish this is SketchyPad.

SketchyPad is a simple app that lets you create wireframes for current or future projects. I used to create the WordPress theme, Distinction. It is soon to be release in the WordPress theme repository but it is the theme this site is currently using.

SketchyPad has most of the features you would expect in a tool like this. Including most of the necessary content elements one might want to add. It also lets you link project pages together, import your own images, and customize the colors of the wireframe. That last one is a little limited though. There are also some size constraints that don’t seem to make much sense.

All in all, a pretty nice app for the person who wants to be able to brainstorm their next website with the speed of a computer but the ease of pencil & paper. Currently this app costs $4.99.
